Harajuku Extreme II: Street Fashion

As much as you circumnavigate the globe (via the Internet, that is!), you won't come across so much originality and freshness in male outfits as in Tokyo, especially in the streets of the quarter of Harajuku, where youngsters seem to be trying to out-dress each other in terms of individuality and inventive.

I sometimes wonder if that unique sense of style displayed by modern lads in reality stems, paradoxically enough, from the most traditional and historical traits of their rich culture.
In fact, albeit the Western clothing adopted by the majority of the Japanese people, some of those unique distinguishing features can still be spotted once in a while, like this gentleman, clad in a Bonzo-like outfit.
