Elegance in Short

Transparent shorts? Why not?
Overlays in organza will put your old trunks back in fashion.

The Only Son
Autumn/ Winter 2010 M/W Collection
Au Ekbutr Udomphol

I'm posting two beautiful tops by Bangonk-born designer Au Ekbutr Udomphol
They are part of his impressive first collection, A/W2010.
It includes plenty of unisex clothing and accessories.

Trained in Australia as a model, Au (pictured below) took up fashion design and established his own brand in his native Thailand.

The title of the collection, he explains in a recent interview, is the English translation of his own Thai name.

More from Stokholm: Nakkna

Spring/ Summer Menswear Collection

A fine mist and a dreamy atmosphere pervade in the presentation by the Swedish avant-garde fashion label at the Stokholm Fashion Week.

True to their spirit, Camilla Sundin, Claes Berkes and Ella Soccorsi, the firm's head designers, come up with interesting and asymmetrical draperies, yet in a minimalist context, deprived of any unnecessary or superfluous embellishments.

Shades of sober grays, black and white constitute the staid, yet never dull palette.

These are only my favorite getups. See more at the label's site or at

On the streets of Stokholm...

The outfit of this anonymous, gorgeous looking Swede include a pair of curious, moderately high-heeled shoes, show here in detail:

... on the way to Copenhagen...

Danish model (and blogger) Wiktor claims that he looks like a "Russian pregnant woman" in this pic taken during a trip to Stokholm.
I kindly disagree: I think he looks simply stunning: just like a real New Man should be.

He appears again below, in a photo taken in his native Copenhagen, displaying a handsomely arranged getup as well as his trademark jewelry.

Asian New Males show their very unique stye, as they put together some pieces purchased at "Day Break", in Harajuku (above), or as they simply pose in skirts for the improvised lensman (below):

Rebels with a cause

REBELS
Fall 2010 Menswear Collection

Designer Konrad Parol

A futuristic, luminescent, maybe aseptic world is depicted by the Polish team by means of handsome but strange capes, sweatshirt tops ornamented with unpractical cords and ribbons, low crotch leggings, all of tem leaping out from white backdrop-like walls and windows.

There have been other "rebels" in this blog. I mean, other edits thus entitled.
But they all have something in common: fashion rebels are not carrying rifles and berets, but rather candid, feminine looking garments , or, in this case, beautiful, avant-garde pieces of clothing.
Perhaps what they are striving for is simply their right as males to wear more creative styles, huh?
